we love seafood and moving to ft riley?

does anyone know if there are any close places around ft riley that sell fresh seafood . like fish, crabs, oysters .. or any restaurants that has all u can eat crab legs? i tried to do a search online but all that showed up are restaurants like long john n red lobsters..

Fort Riley in particular is hard to find seafood but you can find seafood restaurants that sell it fresh in Kansas City from an online yellow pages, just look for the restauarants that are closest to you. There are all sorts of places like Mad Jacks Fresh Fish off of State Ave. Hope that helps!

Betta fish food?

I just got a snail, and online it says they love fresh fruit and vegtables. I was wondering if I can put that food in the betta fish tank-and if the betta will eat it or if it will hurt the betta.

it definately won't hurt your betta, as long as you take out the leftover food after the snail is not interested in it anymore

if you leave it in there for days it might pollute your water though

Hope that helps
Good luck

Eve

No believe it or not it is not the same. You need FULL strength SALTWATER FISH salt. I use Instant Ocean. The kind you are talking about and the normal saltwater aquarium salt are two different things. the crabs will need a full strenght solution to get the amount of salt that they need.

  5. Yes, I'm sure you're right that it's not ideal to freeze mackerel – I've also heard that the oiliness of the fish doesn't make it great for the freezer. But I have to say that I've never had a problem with it. And I'd rather stick it in the freezer than have it go to waste. Not being lucky enough to live on the coast (which it sounds like you do), lovely fresh fish is usually only available to me when I do my Saturday shop at Borough Market.
But do let me know if you find out anything more about bass roe. Would be interested to know if it's worth buying again.
