Part 2 - MamaBee Comedy Performs at The Portland Players Comedy Night
I'm taking a trip to Maine and Boston this weekend some help please?
I live with my boyfriend in Upstate New York, close to Lake Ontario (Boston is 6 hrs. from us Maine approx. 8-9.) We've never been to either place.. I wanted to travel to Maine first to get the long drive out of the way, but I heard from someone to go to Boston first cause it's so fun there Friday and Saturday night. We only have four days, leaving Friday morning and coming back Monday night. I am 26 and he is 31. We heard Old Orchard and Portland were the best, also maybe Newport? I'd LOVE to go to Bar Harbor or Acadia National park (I really want to get a lobster right from the water to my plate!) But I don't know if it's too long of a drive seeing we are on limited time. Any suggestions help please! Thank you so much!
Acadia deserves its own trip. With your schedule, you really have only 2 full days and 2 half days. Don't spend it all driving more than you have to.
I'd say you could do EITHER Portland and Boston or Boston and Newport, RI, but not all three. Boston is really great all by itself -- particularly when you add in Cambridge. You can get lobster fresh from the docks in Portland and most seacoast towns down to and including Boston. Rockport, MA is quite nice, very picturesque and artsy, too.
Definitely do Boston on Friday and Saturday. Warning -- while Boston isn't as crowded on summer weekends as you'd think, it's because most locals leave for the weekend at the same time. It seems that everyone North of the city goes South to the Cape, and everyone South of the city goes North to New Hampshire/Maine. Where ever they come from, it means traffic is AWFUL on Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings. Make sure you get your car to where you are going before 3:00 on Friday or it will take twice as long.
If you want the wilderness island experience, take the water shuttle out to the Boston Harbor Islands. Some are rocky, some are sandy, one has a Civil War Fort (Georges Island, my favorite). Get a picnic lunch at Quincy Market or Haymarket and spend a couple of hours far from the city, but still in it. Portland also has islands in Casco Bay.

This article mentions both Portland, Maine, and Burlington, Vermont. Neither of these locations have experienced any “global warming”.

I just saw a guy carrying live lobsters through airport security. It's going to be a weird day.
“Live” lobsters. Does that mean they’re undead?
Hey, I saw one hit the deck! Does the “ten second rule” apply to live lobsters, too?

I just explain to her that it is for food, just like a cow or pig that is slaughtered. She knows what she is eating.

Yes, it could survive by itself. But incase you didn't notice, this is a marine lobster, it is a saltwater crustacean.
This is the best in that it’s the most hilarious gift I’ve ever received at a yankee swap…live lobsters! Thereafter “no animals” was part of the yankee swap rules at my company hehe.
Sorry i dunno how to. this mas graff video was compiled of pics off the NET.
