Can anybody give me ideas for which job to apply for?
Hi everybody, I was wondering if anybody could help give me suggestions for where to apply for jobs. I currently work at Steve and Barry's and was just informed that the store will be closing very soon and I need another job. I am 17 and I was wondering what places will hire me. Most places I applied told me I had to be 18, and I sent in online applications to Borders, Tully's Coffee, and Petco. I filled out an application to Barnes and Noble and I am going to turn it in today.
Do you think I have a better chance at being hired at any of these places because I have retail job experience? Please don't suggest McDonalds or anything like that because I am a pescetarian and I am against eating or making any type of meat except for seafood.
My dad also HATES starbucks so please don't suggest that, either.
I am also against the company policies and motives of Wal-Mart.

No matter where you apply you will need to be truthful about your age. Alot of older adults are being laid off so good luck finding a spot. However, your retail experience will be a feather in your cap. Good luck.
