Healthiest thing to order on this seafood menu? (Not grilled)?


I'm going to a resturaunt called Up the Creek tonight, and its mostly a seafood place. They do many kinds of fish made-to-order, as well as have a bunch of entrees.

I think I might do a made-to-order, but I don't know how to ask for it prepared, and what type of fish to pick. I really hate grilled ANYTHING, so that's a no. But I'm looking for lower calories and fat, higher protein... any ideas?

The Tilapia in parchment is the best thing on the menu. Tilapia is a delicate fish that is so tasty!

If you want to order a custom cooked item, try a poached herbed salmon with a light lemon sauce on the side, wild rice, steamed veggies (no sauce) and a side salad. Make sure the lemon sauce is just a mixture of melted butter and lemon juice. Yes butter is fattening, but a teaspoon won't hurt and its better for then margarine. You can put the lemon sauce on the veggies too.

Why do people always order seafood platters?


I like seafood so much that I usually can't decide on one kind, so a seafood platter usually gives you a variety of stuff to choose from.

    Go to http://www.livestrong.com and use the "my daily plate". If you put in your height, weight, age and weight loss goals it will tell you what you should eat per day. I am using I myself and I have a goal of lossing 2 pounds a week. Not a huge goal, but those pounds add up over time.
