I want to get a gift certificate for my parents to a nice restaurant. Not too expensive ($15 a plate would be good). Nothing too fancy or casual. It would be great if it was a unique or interesting place. My mom likes seafood but my dad doesnt and my dad likes steak but my mom doesnt so a place that has combo steak and fish options might work. They both like Mexican and Italian. Wine is a must. Im flexible with the location. it can be in surrounding areas of denver. Please give me all the ideas you have and average price, too! Thank you! yes i know about Casa Bonita and that is not at all the kind of place i want. It has great atmosphere for kids but its not all that great for two adults and the food is about equal to Taco Bell.
My favorite place that is romantic, fun, fancy but not too stuffy is the Melting Pot. Its a fondue restaurant and they have great food. A standard meal comes with a cheese course, salads, meats and a dessert. They serve wine and your parents will be able to get a "dinner for two" that includes both meats and seafood. There is one location in Littleton and one in Louisville. The price probably would be $50 per couple and including wine it might be closer to $75 so it might be more than you were hoping to spend.
Other ideas are the Vesta Dipping Grill or Samba Room downtown. Both have great food and atmosphere but nothing too stuffy. Maggianos is great for an Italian chain. Very great food and its about $15 a plate.
Which food would you be more likely to consume alcohol with your meal?
This is kind of a survey, however the more detailed the answer the better the response which will pay 10 pnts for your answer?
1)If I were to give you a gift certificate for a free dinner which would you rather have: A: Seafood Dinner B: Steak Dinner C: Italian (Pasta) Dinner
2)With your chosen dinner which type of drink do you believe you would consume: A: Non Alcoholic Beverage B: Mixed Alcoholic Beverage C: Beer D: Wine
3) With your chosen dinner how many of your chosen drinks do you think you would consume with your meal: A: 1 - 2 B: 2- 3 C: 4 - 5 D: More than 5
1) B: Steak Dinner. Who doesn't love a good steak?
2) C: Beer. I'm a lot more educated about beer than the average person. I don't say this to be conceited. Most people think beer is a American/Euro Pale Lager with little flavor. In reality these are barely even beer and are considered to be pour example of the beverage.
3) B: 2-3. This was a tough one. I practice moderation in my drinking an normally consume 1 or 2 with a meal. If I was out at a restaurant I may indulge myself and go for one more. I was out both Friday and Saturday at high end bars and only had two beers each night... So I'll stick with "B" but I may lean towards "A"... Really depends on how good the beers are and what my mood is.
