I am a Filipina looking for a market place wherein I can buy fresh seafoods, veggies and fruits on reasonable prices. I once read about a market place if I am not mistaken somewhere here in Quezon City Philippines of one such market. I would really thank you for suggesting to me a place and if possible the price ranges of its wet merchandise
Not sure if there's one in the Philippines, but look for a Trader Joe's when you're here in the States. ![]()

Tsukiji: buy seafood, have it prepared for you, eat? That simple?
Can I really buy fresh/live seafood in Jogai-shijo or proper Tsukiji and have it prepared for me in small eateries around the market? Or is it really something only Zimmerns, Bourdains and such can pull off?
It is true some of Jogai-shijo shop serve you to cook after you purchased right there. This is not guranteed because the goods are not fixed everytime and they are always prior to sell to wholeseller in busy time.
You are not TV clues who are paying extra so that they may right to consider the first prioirity. You are not only one customer for them managing daily lifetime.
I think Saturday after 7AM would be best for such extra happening because it is weekend(market close on Sunday) and they have to sell everything out for finishing the week.
You can ask them to cook if you are lucky but can't ask them how to cook. They do cooking on their own way like Japanese food with additional charge. You can't order French or Italian even if you wish to pay. In addition, the price is not too cheap because they sell their working time, not their dish itself for foreign sightseeing tourist.
If you don't want to pay extra money, I recommend to go any restaurant for eating fresh fish cooking around Tsukiji market. It is much easier and takes less time and costs economically.
If you just want to have some experience for same thing like TV on, you can do that if you pay. In Japan, everything is possible as far as with money.
