What beaches on the North Shore of Massachusetts allow charcoal BBQs/bonfires for cooking on Memorial Day?
My friends and I are interested in bringing and cooking some food (hamburgers/hot dogs/lobster) while we have some fun on the beach for Memorial Day. We live in Boston, and are thinking of driving up to a beach in the Gloucester/Manchester/Essex/Cape Ann area. I was wondering about different beaches' rules for cooking or fires, and if we need any permits (two days before the intended day makes that more difficult). Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.
I don't think any of the big beaches do...but go to Gloucester..Stage Fort Park...I think they are still allowed there.
(I just checked their web site. Visitors can bring grills for cooking.)
