Seafood Gift Poll: What was the worst/mistaken/most embarrassing gift you ever GAVE?
Everyone has that 1 mistake- like giving a gift certificate to Red Lobster to someone with a seafood allergy (that would be me as a recipient), etc. Seeing this list will make me, and hopefully you, feel a wee bit better about giving a loved one a Snuggie this year! Happy Holidays!
Probably a candle lol. But worse I also reused this really nice Christmas bag and I forgot to rip off the previous dedication tag and she read it out loud to everyone there.

Seafood restaurants in Hawaii?
Does anyone know a good seafood restaurant in Hawaii? The island Oahu, preferably Honolulu area.
Actually, any restaurant will do, but a good one. No fast food, please. Maybe something that has a website I can order a gift card from. Chain restaurants will work, too, like Olive Garden and Red Lobster. I just don't know what Hawaii has to offer, or where to look for the restaurants.
There is an Irish Restaurant called MacDonald's. They have lots of burgers and Pommes Frittes
seafood gift Halal Meat..Visiting the Philippines...?
Would it be impossible to find Halal meat in the Philippines? I only eat Halal meat , and im allergic to seafood...Are there many Vegetarian options there? Also, when visiting a Filipino family, what is a nice gift to take? I'm Pakistani and i'm going to the Philippines in a month, in my culture sometimes it's nice to take a gift for the family...So would this offend them or not? What should i take?
slm alykm w rhmtllh! there are many muslims now scattered in the philippines, and there are many meat shops near a masjid, one can easily ask the local muslim in an area and they will politely show you the way. The canned goods and some frozen meats in supermarkets have indications in their bags or containers that they are halal printed in the arabic and latin letters. Although some muslim agency are stating that the labelling of halal are not "credible" and some states that it is halal. So best of all is to buy only goods with halal from islamic states available in some major supermarkets. Available too in muslim or middle east or eastern mini malls along United Nations Avenue in Manila. There are many delicious delicacies of indian and pakistani culture in that mini mall. Bringing gifts is always welcome to the filipino culture unlike other culture which would be misinterpreted as bribing. But goodwill still depends on whether your visit is to a foe or a friend. Vegetarian options are also available, but the MSG used there are questionable whether they are of halal quality or not. As many fast food outlets in SM malls have such accomodation, tutuban mall also have one,and probably all chapters of seventh day adventist christians have vegetarian meals and non_pork viands in their menu. hope you enjoy your visit. insha allah
seafood gift Need To Send PACKAGE from US to VIETNAM Safely?
Hi I live in San Jose, CA. Last August I went to Vietnam for the first time and met a lot of my family + inlaws there. They took real good care of me. It was nothing but Heinekens, Hennessy, Seafood, and Girls. My cousins never tried Tequila yet so I want to buy 2 bottles of Patron and send it to them as a new years gift. Can anyone give me a step by step guide into doing this and making sure the package gets their safely (not lost)? (patron is expensive) I could get the address. It's in Binh Duong not too far from Ho Chi Ninh City. Anyone knows (guess okay) how much it's going to cost to ship? 2 big bottles of patron wouldn't weigh more than 5 pounds. Are there any rules about sending booze to VN? Thanks!!!
Ummm I dont know what the regulations are about sending alcohol to VN. But if you're worried, there are services where you can have stuff delivered to their house without you having to buy and pack the gifts. I know one is called queen's flowers and gifts (aka 4mua). Basically, you choose the gift out of a catalog and they deliver it straight to their house.
If you want to buy the gift yourself, there are also shipping services that specialize in sending to Vietnam. You can choose to have the packagage delivered to the house or picked up from the airport. It's pretty safe, I know many people, including my family, that have done this and nothing has been lost, broken, or replaced (even laptops and Wii games). Try OA cargo or Vietlink Global. Since you're in CA, it wouldnt be that hard to find, just ask around (or try googling it).
