seafood gift Question on Starbucks and Restaurant gift cards sold at Costco?
Costco has gift cards on sale for Starbucks and some popular restaurants. This is the kicker. The gift cards are $79 for five $20 gift cards. Since I buy bulk coffee at Starbucks, it would seem a no brainer to buy the gift cards and use them myself to get an immediate 20% discount.
Is there any catch to this? Can you just use them as cash at Starbucks?
They have the same thing for McCormick and Schmick seafood restaurants.
If you're getting the house blend, why don't you just buy the Starbucks coffee at Costco...they sell it in 2lb bags there for a lot less than you can get them at Starbucks.
If not, then yes, you can use Starbucks gift cards to buy anything Starbucks sells in the store. If you're buying from the company direct, it's unlikely that they'll accept the gift card as payment.
